Albertville is a municipality in the Canadian province of Quebec, located in La Matapédia Regional County Municipality.
The municipality had a population of 226 in the Canada 2016 Census.
The area was first known as Matalik Township. The term Matalik, also spelled Matalic, is of Micmac origin and means "jumping stream".
Albertville is located on the south side of the St. Lawrence River, 430 km northeast of Quebec City and 360 km west of Gaspé. Important towns near Albertville are Amqui at 20 km and Matane at 85 km to the north and Mont-Joli at 90 km to the northwest. It is located 120 km east of Rimouski, the capital of Bas-Saint-Laurent. Albertville is located 60 km north of the border with New Brunswick. The municipality of Albertville is located in the southern part of the regional county municipality of La Matapédia in the administrative region of Bas-Saint-Laurent5.
