Laval-sur-le-Lac is a small neighbourhood on the western part of Laval and one of the fourteen municipalities on Île Jésus that amalgamated in 1965 to form the city of Laval. Located on the western tip of the island near the Lake of Two Mountains, Laval-sur-le-Lac is bordered to the east by Laval-Ouest and Sainte-Dorothée.

Laval-sur-le-Lac is an upscale neighbourhood boasting sumptuous homes and the Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club – one of the most prestigious clubs in the country. The club was founded in 1917 by a group of French-Canadian professionals and businessmen, and was designed by the internationally renowned Scottish architect, Willie Park Jr.
