Boucherville
Boucherville is located along the eastern banks of the St. Laurence River and is part of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil in the region of Montérégie. This family-friendly city is home to nine elementary schools, including an English school, a private school, and a high school. With the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park and nearly 50 parks to choose, there’s no shortage of green space in Boucherville.
Boucherville was founded in 1667 by one Pierre Boucher. The city’s Sainte-Famille church was built in 1801, but was badly damaged by fire in 1843. Boucherville witnessed considerable growth after World War II, which was further accelerated by the construction of the Louis-Hippolyte-Lafontaine tunnel in 1967.
